Crosstex International Executive Announces Retirement

Andrew Whitehead

Crosstex International, based in Hauppauge, New York, made public in July that Senior Vice President Andrew Whitehead will retire, effective August 1. Whitehead is a highly regarded leader in the dental market, with more than 40 years of experience in the dental industry — half of that spent at Crosstex. During his tenure, the company experienced substantial growth, and Whitehead is credited with playing an integral role in advancing Crosstex’s acquisition strategy — most recently with the acquisitions of DentaPure and Accutron. In retirement, he will transition to a part-time consultant role with the company.

“Andy is a strong and experienced leader who has a set vision that will position us well in the future,” says Gary Steinberg, Crosstex International president. “His contributions, determination and work ethic have been highly instrumental to our success. Andy is a true professional, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his consultant role,” Steinberg adds.

Whitehead’s contributions to the industry extend beyond Crosstex. He was recently elected chairman of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention Foundation Board and is a board member of the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation.
